This project was one we took on in the heart of Dulwich. This compact kitchen was a tricky space to design, Mr Luck particularly wanted a kitchen island, and so we were determined to make this happen for him.
Using our Remo Matt White kitchen range meant we could offer Mr Luck curved units and could also get bespoke doors to box in his boiler area.
The low ceilings and lack of natural light in this space meant we had to be smart when planning the kitchen. To create as much artificial lighting as possible, we used Sensio LED rope Lighting on the plinth and underside of wall units which bounced the light off the splashback.
Our Deco Glaze splashback in polished finish helps bounce the light around. Our client chose the Samsung Quartz Colombia Grey worktops, which creates a lovely contrast to the white units.
The kitchen was finished off with an Oak effect floor, bringing some warmth into what could have been quite a cold space.
We opted for Neff appliances, the induction hob on the island means that it could be used as worktop when needed. The combination oven with microwave meant that the worktops could stay clear rather than having a freestanding microwave taking up the precious work surface. The Lux Air ceiling extractor worked perfectly because it kept the ceiling height to a maximum.
A Caple pop up socket on the island is a practical and stylish finishing touch along with the Caple pull-out tap.
Overall we met the clients brief, and he was delighted with the finished result..
